The committee is made up of:

• Four to six staff members (includes Academic Faculty, ATS and non-academic staff, must include at least one Academic Faculty)
• One undergraduate and one graduate student representative
• Additional ad hoc members up to a maximum of ten

Staff members are selected by department chair, consulting with the committee, for two-year renewable terms, vacancies to be filled at the start of each academic year. Student members are elected by their respective department student associations for one-year terms. The associations are to determine the election procedures and whether the position is renewable. Further ad hoc members selected by department chair, consulting with committee as above (may include students) for two-year terms backdated to the start of that academic year. Interested Department members are encouraged to volunteer by informing the committee or Department chair of their interest.
