Mandate
The EDIID Committee advises the Department Chair, Chair’s Advisory Committee, and Department Council on all matters pertaining to equity, diversity, inclusion, and decolonization, including but not limited to gender, race, sexual orientation, religion, ability and other protected grounds. The Committee may offer suggestions for, and work to organize, training opportunities and events for Department members in the committee’s area of responsibility, and consult informally with Department members on related matters. The Committee also publicizes within the Department EDIID-related events and programming organized by other University or community organizations. The Committee can revise its mandate, following consultation with Department Council.
