Augustana offers study abroad programs on five continents, offering you the opportunity to learn more about topics ranging from literature to ecology to sustainability and more. Programs run from three weeks to a semester in length.
China
Program: China Tour
Length: 3 weeks
This course will serve as an introduction to China during a three-week immersion and through learning rudiments of its language and culture, as well as of its economic and political life.
Costa Rica
Program: Costa Rica Field Studies
Length: 3 weeks
This course focuses on studies of biodiversity and on conservation issues in the tropics. It is intended for students who want to experience field research in ecology and get a taste of tropical biodiversity.
Cuba
Program: Santiago de Cuba Semester Abroad
Length: One semester
The Santiago de Cuba program enables students to spend a full semester as participants in one of the most intriguing cultures in the world without interrupting their academic programs.
Greece
Program: Classical Literature & History Tour

In this classical history and literature tour course to Greece, students will examine the critical role of place in understanding Greco-Roman culture.

Program: Model United Nations
Length: 3 weeks
This course catapults students into the world of diplomacy through careful study of the functioning of the UN, and participation in an authentic simulation of the UN General Assembly and UN Security Council at the United Nations in New York.
Vienna
Program: Vienna Tour
Length: 3 weeks
This course will examine the music and culture of Vienna, Austria, focusing on a single, central question: "Why is Vienna Europe's Musical City?"
Exchange
Participate in Augustana-specific exchange programs in China or Norway. Students may choose to study abroad for a semester or for a full year.

Cooking Lake Moraine
Course: Environmental Science Field Studies
Length: 3 weeks
Students will engage in research projects that are relevant to ecology, parks, conservation biology and natural resource management in the Cooking Lake Moraine in east-central Alberta.
