King Charles III's Coronation Medal 

The  honours Canadians who have made significant contributions to Canada or a particular province, territory, region or community of Canada, or have made an outstanding achievement abroad that brings credit to Canada. It celebrates their achievements, dedication, and commitment to the well-being of Canadian society.

Dr. Janis Miyasaki received this medal in recognition of her service to the Parkinson's community.


2025 Movement Disorders Research Award

The Movement Disorders Research Award is given in recognition of Dr. Miyasaki's outstanding achievements in Movement Disorders research.

This award was given in partnership with the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), the Parkinson's Foundation, and the AAN Movement Disorders Section and endowed by the Parkinson's Foundation.
