The figure for the start of the new school year: 1,240
29 August 2025

The Dean of Campus Saint-Jean, Professor Jason Carey, welcomed new students during the orientation session for the 2025 academic year, which was held on Thursday, 28 August.
Campus Saint-Jean is enjoying unprecedented success in its recruitment efforts. For the 2025 academic year, admission and enrolment indicators have reached record highs, far exceeding all expectations.
As of 22 June, the number of applications had already jumped by 53.2% compared to the previous year. In addition, the number of people admitted has climbed by 74.7%, and accepted offers have skyrocketed by 79.2%. Even more impressive, the number of new enrolments has increased by 56.2% to 314, a figure that exceeds the targets set for the year.
In total, across all programmes, Campus Saint-Jean will welcome a record enrolment of nearly 1,240 students. As a reminder, enrolment was nearly 650 in 2022. This achievement is all the more remarkable given that the Campus' strategic objective of welcoming 1,200 students by 2027 has been achieved two years ahead of schedule.
The Calgary satellite campus, in particular, is experiencing rapid growth in enrolment with nearly 240 registrations. This success not only ensures the sustainability of the Calgary Campus by exceeding the break-even point of 200 enrolments, but also prompts consideration of a move to larger premises, adapted to this new reality.
These exceptional results demonstrate the strong appeal of Campus Saint-Jean and the Francophone community in Alberta and Western Canada. They reflect the dynamism of Francophone and immersion schools and allow the French-speaking community to look forward to an even more promising future, with a large and dynamic intake cohort in both Edmonton and Calgary.
N.B.: The final official data will be released in October.
